Also found in German chamomile, bisabolol is a terpene that is often used in fragrances for its floral aroma. Alpha bisabolol has recently been shown to induce apoptosis in models of leukemia. Similar to limonene and nerolidol, bisabolol can enhance percutaneous (skin) absorption of certain molecules.

Aroma: floral, sweet, tangy, herbal

Effects: anti-irritant, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial properties
